Child Tax Credit

Thursday, November 9, 2021 6pm-7:00pm

If you have children age 0-17, you may be able to claim half of the fully refundable Child Tax Credit—worth up to $3,600 per child—as advance monthly payments in 2021 and the other half as a refund in 2022. Reminder: You are eligible for payments even if you are incarcerated, experiencing homelessness, or have no income.

If you did not receive advance payments and you were not required to file, you must sign up by November 15, 2021 to receive payment in 2021.

Property Tax Benefits and Exemptions for NYC Homeowners

  • Exemptions for Senior Citizen and Disabled Homeowners (SCHE and DHE)
  • Additional tax relief programs
  • Application deadlines
  • Program eligibility

We encourage you to participate in this free class, the annual deadline for the SCHE and DHE programs is March 15. If you miss it, the next time you will benefit from any tax exemptions would be July 2022.
